Today we’re pleased to give readers an exclusive track from one of our local up & coming emcees, Jay Moses. Once a Detroit native, and now a Champaign local, Jay’s debut album The Genesis has been 3 years in the making and is finally set to drop on December 28th. Last week he played host at his own private listening session for the album which I had the privilege to attend. Without trying to sound cliche, his music is #Gr8. It’s going to be hard not to hype the album up in the coming weeks before it’s release. Between the well played lyricism and crisp production, you can truly hear his dedication to this project. 2012 was a year that was somewhat underwhelming for music, yet it looks like there’s still hope that it’ll go out with a bang.
